Short version: your habit data stays in your browser. We only handle what we need for payments, license delivery, and basic site analytics.
Habit data stays on your device
Momentum is local-first. Your tasks, completions, and progress live in your browser (localStorage). We do not sync that data to our servers. You can export or import it anytime. Clearing site data in your browser deletes it.
Purchases and licenses
If you buy a license for Momentum, payment is handled by Stripe. We never see your full card details. We email your license key with Resend. That email (including the key) can show up in Resend's delivery dashboard, which we can access for support. In our database we keep your email and a one-way hash of the key - not the plain key itself. When you unlock the app, we hash what you enter and check it against that stored hash. Your browser also keeps a local copy of the key after you activate.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (page views and similar metrics). This helps us improve Momentum. Google may process this data under its own privacy policy.
